With the recent out break of the global pandemic of COVID 19, many countries in the world over are trying there best to control the spread and minimize the devastating impact of the pandemic on human lives and the economy.
With respect to Uganda, there has been among other things, the putting in place of the Public Health (Control of Covid 19) rules of 2020 by the minister of health.
These rules are meant to ensure compliance of all persons in Uganda with respect to safety measures put in place by the government.
For instance, It is an offence for any person to move in a public place without wearing a face mask.
One would also be held culpable for doing a negligent act likely to cause the spread of an infectious disease under the Public Health Act. Such acts that include being involved in a procession, gathering without adherence to social distancing mechanisms.
Covid 19 is real, it's not until it comes so close to you or one of your family members that you may appreciate one the risk and the threat we are dealing with and taking so lightly.
